Twenty-five
years before Michelle Yeoh, Connie Chan was Hong Kong cinema’s number
one female action star. As a teenager, Connie grew up starring in swordplay
films and then from 1966-67 she helped pioneer the modern-day action movie.
It should be noted that many of Connie’s films that might categorized
as comedies, dramas, or romances frequently include at least one action
scene: Movie-Fan Princess, Dutiful
Daughter Zhu Zhu, and Waste Not Our Youth are three good examples.
This filmography lists only those films that have been released
on VCD or DVD. Nearly all of these films are available at YesAsia.com. In some cases, they are sold under a romanized
